01-07-06, 05:14 PM I'm thinking of playing a Sorcerer in a local LG group, but three questions pop up before I can start. I'd like to be prepared before I meet them. I don't want to contact them and look like a newb:

1. Can the feat Arcane Preparation qualify a Sorcerer for Mage of the Arcane Order (assuming all other preqs are met)? Can a Sorcerer still use the Spellpool?

2. Sandstorm is legal in one Region. Is there a way that I can eventually become a Sandshaper?

3. Frost Mages have a prerequisite feat that is Limited, and the class is Limited, and the bonus spells known are Limited(three of them). I read that unless you do a special adventure from your Triad or a regular adventure has the option, you can't take anything on the limited list. Do I need five special adventures to get all of these things, or should I get a DM to run one the the regular adventures? Does anyone know any regular adventures with Frost Mages in them?

Thanks in advance!

According to the Blight on Bright Sand sourcebook (freely available on the RPGA-LG website), p.3, only the Lord of the Tides and Scorpion Heritor are available for play within the Bright Lands region.

Note that you need to have the Bright Lands as your "home" region to qualify for these PrC.

01-07-06, 06:00 PM 1. I'm not an official source, but I would say that Arcane Preparation grants you the ability to prepare and cast 2nd-level arcane spells, provided you're reached the appriate Sorcerer level.

2. I would expect that the next LGCS, due in draft version in a week or two, would address this.

3. I recommend that you contact your triad regarding this, as every region has a different flavor. Frost Mage may or may not be appropriate for your region at all, and each Triad has a different way they wish to approach special missions.
