Is it possible to use both Mage Armor and Shield both at once, assuming of course the caster is able to cast both spells, would it become a +8 on the AC? Not clear on this as the PHB does not say one way or other in spell decriptions and technacaly one is armor and the other a shield.... ????? Any ruling on this, or mention at all. (Using 3.5 rules for Living Greyhawk)

You certainly could.

In their respective spell descriptions, it says that Mage Armor provides an armor bonus to AC, while Shield provides a shield bonus to AC. In 3E / 3.5, the general rule on bonuses is that they do stack if they have different "names". Since these are different named bonuses, they do stack.
