I'm new to living greyhawk and the RPGA in general. I was just reading through the LG Campaign Sourcebook and I read that you can't take any feats outside the PHB until 3rd level. Is that right?
Does that mean I can't take any feats from the complete or races books (eg: able learner) that have to be taken at first level?
Thanks for the help guys.

Yes, no feats from other than PHB until you hit 3rd level. Only expections are regional feats from Dragon Magazines (such as Pureblood Suel or Celestial Scion) which are descriped in LGCS. Naturally your character must be from region that grants access to said feats.

You might also notice that Able Learner is one of the feats which is completely banned from Living Greyhawk.

I have a follow up question.
Are the regional and racial feats in the the LGCS allowed before 3rd level? The LGCS seems to imply this (although feats gained from knowledge local aren't allowed).

Another follow up question.
What is "campaign documentation". The LGCS is apparently one source. However, it lists a number of "limited" feats, prestige classes, etc. and states that campaign documentation is needed to use these.
How does one get this documentation? Is this part of the player rewards program or are they just downloads hidden away somewhere on the WOTC site?
Cheers,

"Campaign documentation" means:

The LGCS
Access granted via an entry of some kind on an adventure record (AR), usually in the form of a "favor" you've earned by completing a specific aspect of a module.
Access granted via a meta-org in your region.

There are -other- feats out of non-core you can take at first...

The one that comes to mind: Dragon heritage (CV).
BUT, you need to be sorcerer (level 1).

See table 3-3, page 11 in the LGCS for a complete list.

I saw the list of feats in the LGCS on table 3-3. Where is the explanation for what those feats do? I can't find it in the LGCS or in any of my books (besides draconic heritage).
Thanks,

The feat descriptions are in the previously mentioned Dragon magazines. Paizo is supposed to be putting the articles on their web site, but they've been saying that for at least 7 months.

Of course Paizo are saying that they are waiting for WotC to give permission...

Back to the original question - I believe any approved feat that has a requirement to be taken at level 1 can be taken regardless of source (bit hard otherwise).
