| delewobmesid04-13-06, 10:21 AM | I'm changing my cleric of pelor to Oldimarra for role playing reasons (and so I don't scrap the character in frustration). I'd settled on Celerity as his first domain (he was a human and is now a gnome, so he's now going pretty slow). What I can't decide on is his second domain. I plan on playing the character as a healer/pumper during combat in a tin can. What second domain would you suggest and why? |

Unless you died and were reincarnated as a gnome, you can't change your race in living greyhawk. You're also going to need to talk to your triad about an atonement spell when you switch deities. My recommendation would be the luck domain, maybe it will save you from dying again. Ed |
| delewobmesid04-13-06, 12:52 PM | the dying had to do with a story line choice my character made; I've already gotten the atonement AR from my triad. I'm looking at my domain spell list and trying to come up with something useful at every level; I was considering the mind domain, but I'm not certain. The third level celerity spell is not one I'd usually use, so I was trying to get some feedback on what domains would be good choices. Luck is good, but so is the invisibility from trickery... |
| zigspatty04-13-06, 04:01 PM | If you're planning on "a healer/pumper during combat in a tin can," then you're probably going to be VERY disappointed with Celerity's domain ability. The extra 10 feet of movement benefit is lost if you are wearing medium or heavy armor. If you're willing to wear light armor, or have access to a mithril breastplate, then the extra movement will really rock for a gnome PC. As will having haste and blur as domain spells. With Olidammara as a deity, I'd go with Luck and Trickery. Luck's domain power is pretty nice and Trickery gives you some normally arcane spells - invisibility, disguise self, confusion that are downright useful. Depending on your character's focus, having bluff, disguise, and hide could be pretty useful too, especially if you adventure in the BK or other Iuz-dominated areas. Patty |
