10-01-05, 11:45 AM I'm from Verbobonc. It's not a short answer, but here goes.

Basically, we have a region-wide town project. The Viscount wants adventurers to settle into towns. You get a cert if you buy a house. Together with your fellow citizens, you elect a mayor, and then you can go all Sim City, and build structures, raise taxes, recruit citizens...

Free upkeep if a regional mod takes place in your home town, and they basically act like meta-orgs in a way. Have enough worshippers to build a church to St. Cuthbert, and there are benefits. Have enough dwarves to build a dwarven district, and there are benefits.

On the down side, houses are not free, you pay TU's and gold. Influence with the right people can help, but you'll still pay a bit.

The best part, is the roleplaying aspect. You can go to a con and meet your neighbors, there are Yahoo groups for each town, you can muster Interactive tables based on where you live,...

Im supposed to be in the verbabonc region but have seen nothing in the way of communication. I may be the exception to the rule I suppose but it is pretty dead. I have emailed the poc but have never heard anything back(about a month or 5 weeks). Frankly it doenst impress me if there is no communications.

10-05-05, 12:52 PM Thats because you have to contact the town yahoo groups.

Go to the triad website and then go to links, you should fine the links to the towns various groups.

You then join the yahoo group for more info on the town.

I doubt if you will get info from the POC about the towns, unless you actually post on the Verbobonc yahoo group. From theretown mayors could answer questions about their towns.

As a region we use Yahoo! groups for about 70% of our communication with the players in our region, the rest done by email or our website. I know Vernon Vincent (our POC) has had some problems with his email address in the past, but that has been fixed for some time.

In any case, if your interested in what is going on or how to get involved here's some links to our groups and what not. If this doesn't answer your question email me directly and I will get you squared away.

10-20-05, 10:24 AM Mike its me Bill.....just sniffing around for a place to set my caricters down....was wondering if there was any way to get some reasertch done with out having to join a grupe and then leav it after I find the town is not right for this caricter....and then join aggne lator when i do have a caricter that sead town is good for.

Im supposed to be in the verbabonc region but have seen nothing in the way of communication. I may be the exception to the rule I suppose but it is pretty dead.
