Necrochaos 11-21-05, 09:08 PM	I'm just moving my Warmage to level 2. Any ideas what to do wit him? I don't get medium armor prof until level 8. A friend suggested taking a level of cleric to get this, but my wisdom is 10. I could only cast 0-level spells. Most of the good prestige classes are limited for the warmage. I'm not sure where to go with him other than put some more levels of warmage. I have point blank shot and I'll be taking precise shot soon. Any ideas here?
King Kashue 11-21-05, 11:33 PM	Even with the Cleric level, your warmage spells would still be subject to the Arcane spell failure chance (your cleric spells wouldn't)...So, needless to say, not the best choice... Honestly, warmage is a class that it is best to go straight through with...Any dedicated caster has got to keep an eye on his caster level, and if you're taking a class level that doesn't add a caster level, you should have a very good reason to do so...

JamesMaissen 11-22-05, 03:02 PM	If you are planning on taking Battle Caster and want to take a class for the armor proficiency then I would suggest a level of Marshal. Take the Dex boosting minor aura so that you can blast early in the first round when things are possibly nice and clumped together. Now sacrificing a level of a casting class is not great, especially with the equivalent of a sorcerer that's already delayed in top level spell aquisition. But atleast with Marshal you will get something that will boost the entire party, James
