In character rumours and roleplay flavor around current events or upcoming events.

thats what I figured. Just wondering if maybe they were a way of seeding adventure ideas in potential mod writers.

it can be multiple things. i mean if you it springs an idea in your head for an adventure then by all means submit it and then the rumor will become truth. other 'rumors' sometimes are actual mods about to come out and so forth but you never know.

for the most part its for a DM to maybe take to a table and for the random Gather info seed these into there

Plus, the voices in Tim's head tell him that he needs to write that stuff, and they tend to be both intractable and truculent on such matters, so it's generally best to just go along with them...

The diplomacy check is an in-game mechanic for introverted, socially awkward gamers to roll a d20 to abstractly represent how eloquent and charming they come off as.

Oh, you meant the diplomacy check articles......:D
