| Murdock12-15-04, 07:28 AM | Firstly, greetings all. I have recently joined the ranks of Heralds and run some home adventures for a variety of people... However there is one question that I can't seem to find an answer to: When do adventures become unavailable? Will all the adventures marked as COR4-??? be available for play in 2005? It would make sense that they are because the COR3-??? adventures are available this year. Could anyone confirm this? - Murdock |
| smerwin2912-15-04, 08:04 AM | Correct. Almost all LG modules retire on December 31 of the year following its premiere--so they are available at least one full year, and some may be available for close to two full years. This may be different for certain Special events, so check those separately. Regards, Shawn |
| Greyson12-15-04, 08:06 AM | Core Year Four adventures are generally available until 31 Dec 2005. There are exceptions, however. A Core Special, designated, for example, CORS4-04: Mad God's Key (special because it's from Dungeon 114)have limited availability and will retire on the last day of this month. Other Core Specials include interactives and Convention special adventures. And, there are some Core adventures that are never available for release to the campiagn-at-large. They only appear at Conventions. But the majority of Core adventures for Year Four are available until the end of 2005. I hope this helps. |
| Murdock12-15-04, 08:58 AM | Thanks for the clarification. :D It would help to know when a year 4 module is going to expire though. I have run Mad Gods Key and would like to run its follow-up (Key to the Grave?) next year sometime. I also would have liked a character of mine to play in the module...but I can't dish out a cake and eat it :P |

Quite a tough module with a nice plot.... S.H, Naerie webslave |
| PenderGrass12-15-04, 02:12 PM | I was planning on running a LG game, my first time being an RPGA DM, at a little before midnight on New Years' Eve. (With a long enough break planned for those of us with wives to make out a little! ;) ) Now, the game will obviously end in the year 2005 - that is when the paperwork is filled out - but it will have a start time in 2004 (making it barely under the wire for a 31 Dec 2004 cutoff), do I log everything for the PCs AR as being the 1 Jan 2005 and keep the start date in 2004? This will be important for the PCs that have Adventurer License Fees and so forth that will be due at the start of 2005. **** |
| hustonjj12-15-04, 10:46 PM | What day did you order the event for? Report everything for that date. If it is a year 3 event being played at a multi-day event, you NEED to report it as BEFORE 1 Jan, because of retirement dates. If it is a year 4 event being played at a multi-day event, well, I would probably report it based as 1 Jan. Spobody Necial |
