Just one of those things that crossed my mind. I understand why if you don't get rid of the curse from an evil lycanthrope that eventually you'll lose your character, since you can't play evil characters in the game. But why does this apply to werebears, wereboars and weretigers?

Well, likely because the traits have been designated as a level adjustment +3, which means a PC is instantly given an effective boost of three levels without gaining the prerequisite experience. Not very fair to your fellow players, wouldn't you say?

True. But on the flip side, it means your next three levels worth of xp would be spoken for. No leveling up for you buddy! You're a 'throp now!

Course, it is far easier to just say no! After all if the Circle said yes, you'ld have idiots running around trying their darndest to get diseased. Then they would pass it on to their buddies at the first opportunity. Just more trouble than it is worth.

Actually, if you are infected, you can't pass it on. Only natural lycanthropes can pass on the curse of lycanthropy. My guess is that it would give one player an unfair advantage, and also cause you to get in trouble in certain regions.
