Surely something you have to spend a feat on, but gives no real benefit. Still, not seen a lot of masters of the punching dagger!

Most exotic weapons aren't very different from each other and aren't up to the standards of the better ones.

The martial and simple weapon list is actually pretty good, each weapon having a slight variation from its peers, which, if someone values that variation, will mean it gets used.

I've seen all of the two handed martial weapons and all of the one-handed martial weapons used in actual play. Light weapons aren't very popular (the armor spike/spiked gauntlet slotless weapons tend to be the backup weapon of choice) but for the right kind of build, there are reasons to choose any of them.

Kaorti Ribbon Dagger - Fiend Folio

Same stats as a normal dagger but requires Exotic Weapon Proficiency IIRC.

I'm gonna throw my vote in for the broken ale mug.

I've just never seen access to the Drunken Master prestige class around here.

I have it twice :) My Rogue even wandered off and spent TUs qualifying for access. (Getting drunk with Wenta Priests! sure!)

Trident, just because it goes with the worst feat ever, Net and Trident Fighting.

Trident is a good weapon!

It's the only weapon you can set for a charge and use a shield. It is also the highest damage martial thrown weapon that can be used with a normal attack action, as opposed to a full round action. And as a piercing weapon it's useful in its iconic role under water.

My archer used it as a missile weapon in the baby levels at close range, and my favored soul of procan kinda has to use it....but hey, eventually those stormlord levels will make it all sparkly.

Don't be bringing the net into my trident goodness :)

Small sized shuriken - what other weapon do you not have to roll dice for, on top of needed the EWP, and to cap it off, you're stuck with a 10 foot range increment? ;-) Yeah, I know... shuriken are cool...

Not to mention, you can use it to qualify for Master Thrower - if you're interested in Quickdraw and already have the other feats...

An exotic weapon, range increment of 5 ft. (!), and deal 1 (!) point of damage. But you can launch 3 of them per round and, of course, they don't take up a hand because you spit them out of your mouth.

Spiked Chain. Its so good its bad.

(Best AND worst weapon in LG)

<I am slightly interested in the mechanic that does allow a weapon that is graceful enough to be finessed and swung around at 10ft can also impact with as much force as swinging a two handed hunk of solid metal. But lets not get into an arguement, Chances are my opinion won't change and neither will yours :)>

Large gauntlet or a tiny halberd.
A cat familiar also tends to result in several painful scratches.
I've never really seen the point of a repeating crossbow when rapid reload was available.

Harpoon deals much more damage than Trident.. (you must be forgetting to properly impale them ... and rip it out.. = Double damage).

It is definitly the "Best" thrown weapon.. becouse it requires only a move action to pull it back after you throw it...

It helps to prevent foes from escaping... etc..

Worst Exotic Weapon... = Orc Shotput..

To heavy/Bulky to carry more than a couple.. Range to low..

I disagree! The orc shotput is extraordinarily deadly... against 1st-level PCs in an Intro mod. ;)

hey now, shuriken are not too bad. anyone with a level of monk gets proficiency, and since they count as ammunition, they can be drawn as a free action. the range and damage are kinda pathetic, though. only reason i carry them is cuz i have a pretty beefy str. i've one-shotted a few goblins with em...

For a monk it's not so bad. Automatic quick draw and flurriable. Flame arrow them and then you can flurry 2 a round doing d2+STR+d6. Not saying I'm excited, but it's not terrible.

mostly for a monk, shuriken are free attacks.

Your flurry killed the guy next to you? Use any excess flurry up by tossing shuriken at the next nearest enemy. So what if the damage is small? It is free damage.

Halflings. Don't anyone laugh either!!
At the interactive at Pheno, the party I was in had a halfling thrown at us!!! It flew some thing like, 100ft and bounced off a tower shield one of my fellow adventurers were using.
The halfling lived too!!
Hardy race aren't they?
I love halflings, they're so cool.

I've had a half-ogre/half-hill giant baby thrown at our party in part of a APL2 interactive mini mission. Of course, this was after we threw some crazed (possibly fiendish) chickens at the hill giant father. Odd that the ogress would throw her baby as a weapon though...

That encounter was pure awesome. It's an ogress, what do you expect? The only odd thing I found was how easily we took down her after she raged.

The worst weapon in LG? hmmmm oh yeah there was this time that a cockatrice turned one of my party members to stone. My hafling was terrified by birds, don't ask, and in a fit he pushed the statue on the cockatrice and busted up the statue and the evil bird!! It worked well but having to deal with the wrath of a partymember is a huge drawback.;)

The dumbest weapon I've ever seen is the fun sized repeating hand crossbow. A halfling duel wielder was firing it at me. I stopped my attack and helped him reload it and proceeded to break it over his head for shooting a 1d2 weapon which spent 3 feats to use effectively. That is worst than taking the skill focus appraise feat with a front line fighter.
