Some of the 'wonderful' things we get include, double cost living expenses and +10% cost on anything bought in or around the environs of Greyhawk City and the Domain of Greyhawk. The thing is it says - "for the next three modules." Does this mean that it takes affect on the current AR 'Items Bought' Section? Or, not until our next Core Adventure and two more after that? PS - this has had to have been the most sucky 'reward' we have ever got! PPS - I am purposefully withholding the name of the adventure to let others 'enjoy' the overwhelmingly great 'benefit' of this bonus! **** |

Also, since it says the 'next' three modules, by definition it can't include the current one that it's printed on. It's really not all that big of a deal, honestly. Anyway, whoever said it was a 'reward?' It's simply a consequence of your PC's actions, is all. There have been some worse ones out there, trust me... :) |

That was how I interpretted as well, as it would be the 'next three' and not the current one. Sounds like my guy will be saving gold for 3 adventures! I believe that there are 'worse' ones out there - but I was never one for irritating an Assassin's Guild. It probably rates up there with my rule - 'don't deepthroat a wyvern's tail.' LOL - I guess that is what you get for being the 'good guy.' :twitch: **** |

| King Kashue12-13-04, 04:56 PM | It is the next three set in Greyhawk... And my primary experienced a negative consequence that resulted in the loss of 13 TUs, 3 permanent hit points (loss of three fingers, though the triad certed my character to the loss of an eye), and a worsening of relations with all nobles, the theives guild, and the "spy corps" (I'm withholding the name, as the mod is still active, and I don't want people to be able to place it), and is greatly distrusted in his home country... 10% extra on goods...yeah...that's rough... |

Deified Fecal Matter!!! That is harsh. I am not so sure that my guy still wants to adventure anymore in LG. Anyone know where the next portal is leading to the "Living Sunshine & Free Magic Item Campaign" - sheesh. **** |

Those modules do exists and to be honest, I never encountered any problems with assassins guild, especially when I got free luxury upkeep on all Core modules after Ghost Tower of Inverness I just laughed at the 'higher upkeep' cost. | oroborous12-23-04, 07:45 PM | I got that same "reward" and I honestly didn't think it was that bad, of course I may have more gold than you do. I'm also pretty well off when it comes to having everything I need. When it comes to gaming consequences, you should count your lucky stars that you don't have something permanent to worry about, like a ring that won't come off your finger, a cursed box that you have to keep within 50' of you, magical tatoos, or other such rot. |
| SgtHulka12-31-04, 10:47 AM | How cool would it be if you had an assassin attack you once during each of your next three adventures? You're obligated to show the Judge your AR at the beginning of each adventure, and he has the responsibility of creating an assassin equal to your level and springing it on you during an appropriate time in the adventure. That would be a really fun one to judge, though it's probably completely impractical. It would add quite a bit of drama to a night's rest at a friendly inn. |
