| Iswald08-27-06, 10:37 PM | No. It would only do so if the feat description said it did. |
| Cynric08-28-06, 05:22 AM | Well that makes the feat completely ueless then. Back to the old drawing board. |
| Nutation08-28-06, 06:54 PM | Point Blank and Precise Shot have no prerequisites. Rapid Shot requires dex 13, not too onerous for a cleric whose wisdom may be considerably higher. Rapid Shot can also be obtained from ranger 2. Now, there are archery feats that require high dex - Many Shot, Improved PS, etc. A zen archer (unlikely to be a high level ranger getting bonus feats) won't be taking those. Zen archery is for those who value high wisdom and can afford low dex or who want to mitigate MAD. |
| ShinAkuma208-29-06, 03:47 PM | How is it useless? I could see a Cleric getting great use of this combined with Reach Spell to make ranged Cure & Inflict spells. *writes that one down* |

That seems like a horrible waste of spells. Either you're burning all your feats in order to divine reach some wound spells, or you are using high level slots to do nominal damage. You'd be better off just using a bow. |

You'd be better off just using a bow. the problem with reach spell is the low range. it gives you 30-ft. range, period. and to really make use of it, you should consider divine metamagic [reach spell] and have some healing spells prepared. yea, it aould be nice to have it, but unless you are an archer cleric anyway it is at high costs. too high for my taste. ciao martin m. |

Stormlord requires an insane number of feats - it is really difficult to fit Zen Archery and other archer feats in there. |
| Cynric08-29-06, 09:26 PM | True, but my freinds and I are looking at building an entire party (4 coreplayers with close to iconics and a few hangers on) around the concept of cold and storms for the return of Ratik. Any other suggestions would be nice. So far we are looking at Stormlord Stormsinger (providing access) Stormcaster (providing Access) Shining Blade (shock blades) and the ever useful pure barbarian (thunder theme) Rogue\scout archer |

Given the typical worshippers of the deities permissible for Storm Lord (i.e., the PC is likely human), two of your feats should be out of the way at first level; take the third at 3rd level, and Zen Archery at 6th, the same level you qualify for entry into Stormlord (presuming you've met the requirement of being struck by lightning). |

The problem isn't picking up Zen Archery, it is the complete lack of other thrown weapon feats. Aka Precise Shot and Quickdraw. |
| Cynric08-29-06, 11:59 PM | Being struck by l;ightning is not a problem. 3rd level domain spell from weather(I think) Call lightning. My character could get psyched up to meet his god by shocking himself. |
