+1 caster level, version 3.5 [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-11-05, 01:09 AM Does having a +1 caster level feat allow the caster to also increase the spell save DC by 1 since a 4th level is now a 5th level duration, range, damage, etc? The DM guide and players guide have created a question in wording in our group.

Caster Level has no relation to DC. I think your answer is No.

10-11-05, 10:48 AM A 4th level mage with an 12 INT casting a 2nd level spell will have a DC of 10+1+2 = 13.

If the caster has a feat that grants him +1 caster level, the DC is STILL 13.

Caster level does not impact DC.

10-11-05, 10:48 AM Save DC is 10 + spell level + appropriate stat modifier. As Elgonn stated, caster level has nothing to do with the DC of the spell.
