| Khan the Destroyer07-09-04, 11:59 AM | I hope that is the correct term. I think it has something to do with item creation feats, which is why I posted it here. But simply, I was wondering what it is. It has been mentioned on a couple of different posts I have read, but I couldn't gather exactly what it is. Thanks for the input. |

Anyway, it works like this: in 3.5E experience is no longer based on the average level of the party like it was in 3.0, but on each character's individual level; this means that lower level characters get more experience from the same encounter than their higher level buddies, closing the gap. A spellcaster who spent a lot of experience could then stay permanently one level behind from the rest of the party and use the extra experience to fuel item creation (and to cast spells with an XP component). |
