Greetings to all!

My players and I were having quite a laugh ate our last game session when discussing over magic items the group's artificer could create. A few items caught my attention and I would like to invite you all to post some items you or yours friends invented.

Here are the first three:

1) Brooch of Perfect Vestment (Minor Woundrous Item): Attach this brooch to your clothes and they will continously mend and clean themselves.
Faint transmutation; CL 1st; Craft Woundrous Item, mending, prestigiditation; Market Price: 3000gp; negligeable weight.
Hook: This is the perfect item to create auras of wounder. While fighting, nothing seems to touch you. It gives you an air of nobility or blessed one.

2) Back-Scratching Hand (Minor Woundrous Item): This little stick looks like a wand, but one of its tip is a beautifully crafted wooded hand. When activated with the proper command word, the stick floats towards your back and the hand moves and scratches its owner.
Faint conjuration; CL 1st; Craft Woundrous Item, unseen servant; Market Price: 1800gp; negligeable weight.
Hook: What a delight to have a hand taking care of your back. Imagine if you'd have a pair of them. They could do relaxing massages.

3) Inn's Mug (Medium Woundrous Item): This mug is used in rich tavers and inns. The customers put 1sp into the mug. The coin disappears (teleported into a designated coincase) and the mug fills itself with good ale.
Moderate conjuration; CL 13th; Craft Woundrous Item, teleport object, create food and water; Market Price: 9850gp; 1lb.
Hook: Innkeepers, the owners of the mugs, usually put Alarm spells on the mugs and doors to prevent theivery. But if a mug is stolen, the innkeeper might not care about it since the mug is still active for 1300 miles around (or CL x 100 miles) and the silver pieces still goes into the designated coincase owned by the innkeeper. The mug stops to work when it exceeds this distance and becomes a normal mug until it comes back within range of the designated coincase.

Use your imagination and share your wicked magic items!!!

I stated out the the Inn's Mug basing myself upon Murlynd's Spoon(p262 DMG). Hope you like the result.

What other magic items do you have into your game for fun and role-play?

As it stands now, my roommate's favorite item for nonbattle purposes is a cape or cloak of prestidigitation and light or something along those lines that flaps in a non-existant wind or gives you a pretty light effect for dramatic entrances.

Does the light effect is the cape becoming bright and shiny or a light source appears behind the character and it gives an illusion of backlighting?

So lets say:
4) Flickering Cape (Minor Woundrous Item): When worn, this cape or cloak can flicker in a non-existing wind and, on command, can create various minor light effects.
Faint evocation; CL1st; Craft Woundrous Item, dancing lights, prestidigitation; Market Price: 2700gp; negligeable weight.
Hook: Gives flair and attitude to a character.

There would be different ways to create such a cape, three to be exact. The first is to consider both spells to be continous which would give a Market Price of 3000gp. The second would be to consider prestidigitation continous and dancing lights linked to a command word for 2900 gp (or dancing lights continous and prestidigitation linked to the command word for the same price). The third path would be to consider both spells activated with command words (one for each spell or one for both) which would lower the cost to 2700gp. I prefer the last option because it lets the character control the light effects to his will and because an eternally flickering cape would be annoying in time.

This combinasion was thought out by one of my players. He's an artificer and loves to create magic items for the party.

Craft a Homonculus or two that are able to craft magic items. Then, buy alchemist lab, spell components, raw material for the creation of a magic item. Put everything in a portable hole (including the Homonculi) and wait until the magic item is done. Homonculi being construct, they do not need air to survive, so they can stay in the portable hol as long as their owner wants. Why use a portable hole instead of a bag of holding? Simple, the portable hole is compact and the extra dimension inside is fix compared to the bag of holding's extra dimension which is flexible.

My player is currently thinking of a mecanism that could warn him when the magic item's creation is completed.
