It must include: Name, parts used, inviroment and effect. 1. Name: Devil's weed Parts Used:leaves Environment: Native to the nine layers of hell but it has been transplanted to the material and several other planes on several occasions. Requires adequate sunlight and moisture to grow but is considered a very hardy plant. Effect: When smoked +2 alchemical bonus to strength for a number of hours but for the duration of the effect you act skitish/paranoid(treat as shaken). |

| Nirid02-08-08, 01:18 AM | Pixie Bell: This tiny blue flower grows in single rows on long, sparse stalks and has downward turn causing the flowers to open upside down. Environment:Temperate Forest and Field Use: Pixie Bell when properly prepared acts as a mild soporific and can help relieve minor aches. It can be used in small doses to calm nerves and relax the mind. In larger quantities it can induce a light sleep. Preparation: The entire plant shares the same sleep inducing properties. The most potent part of the plant is the nectar. However, it is difficult to harvest due to the small nature of the flowers. Many herbalists joke about what small hands one would need to properly collect nectar for use. Instead many alchemists and herbalists harvest the flowers and soak them in a bath to dissolve the nectar and refine it in a later process. Others cultivate bees and then collect the honey these hives produce. This special honey can be prepared to work as a potent sleep inducing drug or cut with regular honey to create a mild relaxant. When prepared in either of the above manners it must be ingested to take effect. People attempting to use this substance against unwitting targets should note the distinct sweet taste is best hidden in confections and similar treats. Another method of preparation involves harvesting the entire plant and reducing it to a paste. This paste can then be used to make incense that can fill a 10' cube with enough smoke to exert a mild effect on the people in it. Effect: Ingested (Diluted) or Inhaled: -2 alchemical penalty on Concentration, all Wis based skills, and saves against Sleep effects for 1 hour (Fort DC 12 negates). Ingested (Concentrated): Sleep for 1d4 hours (Fort DC 12 negates). -------------------------------------------- If you like this I have a few others I can post. |
