| Grod_The_Giant09-06-06, 03:59 PM | ok, this is a thread for silly and totally weird spells. None of these are intended to be taken seriously. 1. Namfoodle's Randomized Evocation (depending on the effects, anything from Namfoodle's :censored: puffball to Namfoodle's thermonueclear explosion) Evocation (random, see description) Level: Sor/Wiz 9, Luck 9 (optional), Chaos 9 Components: V, S, M Casting Time:1 standard action Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level) Area: 1d4 to the power of 1d4 Effect: One chaotic sphere with a random effect Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: Reflex half Spell Resistance: Yes Invented by the famous gnome illusionist Namfoodle when he decided to try creating an evocation. You point your finger and determine the range (distance and height) at which the chaotic sphere is to burst. A glowing, pea-sized bead streaks from the pointing digit and, unless it impacts upon a material body or solid barrier prior to attaining the prescribed range, blossoms into the explosion at that point. (An early impact results in an early detonation.) If you attempt to send the bead through a narrow passage, such as through an arrow slit, you must “hit” the opening with a ranged touch attack, or else the bead strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely. Type of damage: roll 1d6. 1- fire 2- cold 3- electricity 4- sonic 5- acid 6- force damage: 1d4 to the power of 1d4. Note: order is important on these exponent rolls. Keep track of which die is which exponents 1 and 1= 1 1 and 2= 1 1 and 3= 1 1 and 4 =1 2 and 1= 2 2 and 2= 4 2 and 3= 8 2 and 4= 16 3 and 1= 3 3 and 2= 9 3 and 3= 27 3 and 4= 81 4 and 1= 4 4 and 2= 16 4 and 3= 64 4 and 4= 256 |
| Drascin09-06-06, 05:13 PM | I typed three or four spells, but the damn forum gave me an error message when I typed submit ¬¬. And I'm not writing all that again... so I'll put just the first one; actually used this one in a game, was a good chuckle when the players realized what the wizard was riding :P. I hope I manage to remember and translate it okay: Kirby's Warp Star Conjuration [force] Level: Sor/Wiz 6 Components: V, S, F Casting Time:1 standard action Range: Close Effect: A star of force Duration: 1 min/level Saving Throw: Nope Spell Resistance: ...not really You conjure a five pointed star of force. Upon completion of the spell, the star levitates in fron of you, vibrating with energy when you touch it This spell creates a star of pure force (treat the same as a Wall of Force for dispelling, damaging and such) that you can use as a means of transport. If you are adjacent to the star, you can mount it and take off as a move action. To pilot the star, you have to concentrate on it (a move action for you). You can't concentrate on the star if you are not on it. If you don't concentrate during a round, the star just follows its course without varying its speed. The star has a good maneuverability, and can be set at whatever flight speed the user desires, between 0'/round (totally still - the star hovers horizontally) and 120'/round (full speed). A collision destroys the star as if disintegrated, but you don't suffer any damage from the crash (if you crash 100 ft over the ground, the falling damage might be another story...) Arcane Focus: A Kirby plushie ______________________________________ Yeah, I'm a sucker for Kirby games :P. How could you tell? |
| Gorgosaure09-06-06, 09:27 PM | Sniloc's Detect Fire Divination [fire] Level: Sor/Wiz 0 Components: V, S, F Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Personal Target: The caster Duration: 1 hour/level This spell is the first creation of Sniloc. After introducing this cantrip to his teachers, the latter told him he would better specialize in cold magic... You can sense the presence of fire by a mere touch. Ouch! Arcane Focus: A finger... |
