| elven warriorXX07-28-05, 07:44 PM | here is a place to post any mystical items, or cocky* items that you have floting about you head :) *things that make life easer (like the items in the harry potter books). Example: a closet that cleans your armor, or a weapon cleaner, and the like. here is one i made up Light sticks: These small sticks are starting to replace the torch for adventures, as they are a half a foot long and 2in thick, and have a permanent Light effect as cast by a 5th level wizard. 200gp |
| GFC_Seracule07-28-05, 07:50 PM | There already is an item like that, it is called an everburning torch and is 20gp cheaper. |
| elven warriorXX07-28-05, 07:52 PM | ya :P but i made it better lol and it is just a starter to get other people to post there items they made :) |
| GFC_Seracule07-28-05, 08:06 PM | Well then, I haven't actually made a real one and came up with this right now, but how about a Belt of Troll Toughness which gives you +8 to constitution to go with the Gauntlets of Ogre Strength (I think)? |
| elven warriorXX07-28-05, 09:04 PM | great!! :D |
| smrtgmp07-29-05, 01:37 AM | ya :P but i made it better lol and it is just a starter to get other people to post there items they made :)How is yours any better? It does the exact same thing. |

| elven warriorXX07-29-05, 01:28 PM | How is yours any better? It does the exact same thing. my campaign setting is more classic fantasy adventure (like LOTR) and i replaced the EBT with that :) it is more magical |
| sleazeonwheels07-29-05, 02:35 PM | my campaign setting is more classic fantasy adventure (like LOTR) and i replaced the EBT with that :) it is more magical Since your light sticks do exactly the same thing as everburning torches, they're exactly as magical as everburning torches. |
| elven warriorXX07-29-05, 02:52 PM | :P ya your right lol here is a NEW thing Wizard’s eye: a wizard’s eye is a magical device that looks like a big floating eye, and lets the bearer use Scry on were ever the eye is placed. It is much like a 3rd eye that lets the wizard sees wherever the eye is placed. The eye does not move from were it is placed unless the wizard wills it to. The eye has a move speed of 10ft per round, and has 10 HP and 13 AC. 5,000gp |
| GFC_Seracule07-29-05, 03:19 PM | To go with my first item, there is Boots of Belker Agility , Hat of Illithid Ingenuity , Cloak of Angel Reason , and Neckless of Succubus Personality , and they increase Dexterity, Inelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma by +8 respectively. They all cost the same as Gauntlets of Ogre Strength . Imagine wearing them all at once! :D Oh, and can other spellcasters use the wizard's eye? My sorcerer now wants one. |

| Pei-Pe07-29-05, 03:48 PM | Thanks. Was one of the first i designed for my rogue when he had the cash to lay out for such things. Travel is a pain at times, when teleport isn't viable. This just ensures you can try and get there faster. |

| CryoSilver07-29-05, 08:59 PM | Dragon Rod: With a command word, this rod projects a 30 foot line of flame that deals 3d6 damage to creatures and objects caught in it. | Rohano07-30-05, 01:06 AM | Here's some rough descriptions of some of my homebrew items, some of which can be pretty funny to use in a game. These are all incredibly stupid, but I rather enjoy screwing with my players. Eye of the Elven Lich (Artifact) When held before the user (using a bare hand to hold the eye), the user gains 100 ft. darkvision (the user sees infrarerd) in the direction of the eye's pupil. The eye seems to be made of clear crystal with a ruby iris and a black pearl pupil. Little does the user know that this is actually a phylactery for a lich (a different lich than the lich that once used it for an eye), and the lich has not been destroyed, and constantly follows the owner of the eye and summons undead whenever the owner of the eye sleeps. Only Worth 10,000 gp on the open market, but the elven lich that it was stolen from still hunts for it, as well as the lich who used it as a phylactery. Moaning Rod (Artifact; great/DEMENTED to screw with players) (DELETED; I don't wanna get banned, lol) Blue Rod (Flashlight!) For 1 hr/day, the rod can generate a 60' cone of blue light Item Rod (2nd edition-fied) Command word "Zip": 1 item at a time may be shrunk to palm-size. Command word to resize the object is chosen by the user. Can function on fires (the fire become still and no longer generates heat until resized); great for carrying around instant campfires. Necklace of Vitality This necklace appears to be a mundane necklace, and sheds no magical aura usually seen with a detect magic spell. The wearer is immune to fatigue affects, and is thus very energetic and takes no tiredness penalties; the wearer still has to sleep for natural healing, however. Mantle of Celestian (2nd edition-fied) Wearer has full protecton from all temperatures, precipitation, vacuum, and the wearer does not die from suffocation, starvation or thirst. Some different versions of this item exist. Some offer the ability to use the stars and designs on the mantle for different effects. Boots of Fharlanghn The wearer moves over all terrains at normal speed, taking no pentalties. Rod of the Woods +1 Mace, damage 1d10; does not damage vegetation or plant creatures Wielder gains +5 natural armor (not stackable) as their flesh becomes as hard as oak wood Liveoak 2/day: The user may animate 2 trees (as treants) at a time and they remain animated until the user uses animates another tree. An animated tree must also remain within 180' of the user or plant itself and become a regular tree again, but the user doesn't know that the tree is no longer animated. For all of these items, you can fill in rules gaps as you please or customize them. Most of these items I don't use very much, except to screw with players, as I said earlier. |

| Sherushur08-02-05, 08:21 AM | Ok, named after one of my Wizards, I present to you: Caleviel's Cool Chestband (woohoo, what a brilliant name i here you all think :) ) This is a leather strap arount the chast (think miss-competitions, only much more kinky) with 5 small pouches. Each pouch functions as the side pocket of a Hewards Handy Haversack and this strap is made specially for casters. One pocket for Scrolls, one for wands, one for spell components, one for other magical items, and one extra... Makes life more easier then reaching for your rucksack all the time! Cost is a bit more then for a HHH (do not have the pricing here), but since it is an item that would come in handy for almost all adventurers, it is not to hard to come by... |

| Lord shadow3508-02-05, 12:17 PM | Goggles of greater arcane sight= Win |
| RavenDrake08-02-05, 06:06 PM | Staff of Gimmicks This simple, poorly engraved wooden staff, appears to be a simple arcane magic users walking stick. It's covered in poorly shaped runes which, when inspected, are actually a crib sheet for preparing Prestidigitation one one end and Read Magic on the other. A Wizard or similar arcane caster may prepare either of those two spells by examining the staff as though preapring them from a borrowed spellbook, if they succeed a DC 15 Spellcraft check. The staff can be weilded in combat like a masterwork quarterstaff, but it profers the wielder a +1 luck bonus to AC. Additionally, the staff has 50 charges that can be used to produce the following spells: Dancing Lights 1, CL 8 Detect Magic 1, CL 8 Mage Hand 1, CL 8 Open/Close 1, CL 8 Prestiditation 1, CL 8 Even when all the charges have been exhausted, the weapon still allows preperation of Prestidigitation and Read Magic and the Luck bonus to AC. Cost: 8,705gp. |
| kliate08-02-05, 06:18 PM | The Vanity Stone. When carried, its bearer and their possessions are kept in a constant state of cleanliness. When soaked, they are dried off instantly. When doused in filth, the filth quickly dissipates. An added benefit of the Vanity stone is the fresh scent it continuously emits. The bearer can choose to smell of any mild perfume with which they are familiar. Finally, anyone bearing the Vanity stone receives a +2 competence bonus to diplomacy checks and disguise checks to feign nobility. Market price 3000gp Craft Wondrous Item, CL 1st, prestidigitation |
| Outlier08-02-05, 07:10 PM | Durin's Handy Anvil (Inspired by a miniature I found that had something like this on his back - had to think of a reason why a dwarven wizard would be lugging an anvil with him on adventures.) This is a folding wooden frame with a large anvil permanently bolted to it. When folded and locked in place, the frame forms a sturdy anvil stand. It can also be folded flat and strapped to your back like a backpack. When worn in this way, the frame, anvil and up to 250lbs of additional attached gear (not to exceed 30 cu ft) encumbers the wearer as if it weighed 15 lbs. When folded into a bench, the anvil and stand weigh 300lbs. In addition, the anvil has a hollow space accessible when the not being worn, large enough to hold a standard spellbook. Note that the weight reduction does not affect bags of holding and similar items. |
| KingSoft08-03-05, 05:39 PM | 3.0 adamantium cube. In 3.0 the + given to an item is based on the amount of adamantium used, because of its immense this anvil shaped block of adamantium can be strategically dropped on your opponents with a +15 bonus. |
| elven warriorXX08-03-05, 06:21 PM | this is all good stuff :) great job guys here is one i made Crystal lights: these are small crystal balls float about 6ft from the ground and create a daylight effect like the spell cast by a 13th level wizard. They are put in towns for lighting at night. 1,000gp |
