| detectevil06-13-04, 12:46 PM | Where is that spell (Miniature Handbook I guess) from, and what does the text says? |
| Bloodtide_the_Red06-13-04, 01:28 PM | I don't think the damage would go up for an extended spell of this type. The max damage power of this spell is 3d6. Just because the duration is extended would not up the damage, the spell just lasts longer. You could go with your option of two cycles of cold damage, or you might want to go with two rounds of each damage...like Round 1-2 is 1d6, 3-4 is 2d6 and 5-6 is 3d6. I use the second myself. BT |

I would agree with you,but the spell's text says: "The spell deals 1d6 cumulative points of cold damage per round it is in effect." |

Ok, if that's the way you want to go..... so the spell does 4d6 on round 4, 5d6 on round 5 and 6d6 on round 6. I don't think it's a good idea myself, but, hey....have fun with it. BT |
| Sancus06-13-04, 03:40 PM | Wiil you add 3 other rounds of increasing damage, basically changing the spell in its Greater form? Yes, that's what it would do. The Greater Form as listed as a Druid 7 spell is completely and retardedly worthless, no idea why any Druid would cast it. It makes far more sense as a 3rd level spell. And it's not 21d6 for a 3rd level slot -- it's 21d6 over _6_rounds_ as a 3rd level spell. That really isn't that impressive. Especially at Close range, single target, and fort half. |
| Someone06-14-04, 12:50 AM | Does the higher level (not meta'd) version of spell start out doing more damage, or increase at a greater rate? If so, then its still valid, especially if you apply extend spell to it as well. Also, is the spell target area locked once the spell is cast? It won't do you any good if the target has moved out of the area in the 6 rounds it took to reach max damage. And don't forget that they get whatever cold resistance they have against it each round. |

I agree with you about the opportunity to get their cold resistance:but i didn't understood what do you think of the extended spell:21d6 in 6 rounds,or not? |
