| Kevin, son of Loric04-06-04, 09:09 AM | Okay, I looked through the SRD. I did a search of the boards. I even posted this in another forum. But, I still haven't found what I'm looking for. The first thing that I am looking for is the latest version of the 3.0 Polymorph spells. The latest version that I was able to find was a revised version of Polymorph Other in Tome and Blood. Is this the most recent version? The next thing that I am looking for is a bit of clarification. As I study the above mentioned version of Polymorph, I find myself wondering why one would not gain the Extraordinary abilities of the form that you assume. More specifically, in this version of Polymorph, it sates that if you were to change into a form that alllowed constriction, you would be able to use that ability. When I open up my Monster Manual and look for any creature with the constrict ability, it is always listed as an (ex) Extraordinary ability. But, the spell specifically says that you don't gain Extraordinary abilities. So, is this version of Polymorph still in need of revision, or is constriction (and possibly other abilities) classified wrongly as extraordinary abilities? Thanks for your help |
