Hey,

In 3.0, Miasma cannot be countered by any save and as a dm I'm having some real problems with that. I'm going to do a druid-duel with one of my players and I know he'll use the spell. Does anybody have any ideas for countering the spell in-game without resorting to just banning it or referring to the 3.5 revision? If I did that he'd say I was bending the rules just because they don't suit me - and he'd be right.

My own thoughts on this:
- Perhaps cast Filter
- Wildshape into some larger or smaller form. Or perhaps even dive into water
and change into a fish.

Thanks,
Aracor

Have a silent dispel prepared. Or just pretty much all silent spells and dispel it after you've pummeled the other guy into submission.

Other than that, if you can wild shape into an elemental or something, then you don't need to bother breathing. Same thing with an ioun stone that makes breathing unnecessary.

Yeah, it's a nasty spell though. Definitely painful, especially against a caster who's not ready for it.

An amulet of adaptation will probably negate it, too.
