If I cast Power Word Stun on a cleric that is buffed with Freedom of Movement, is he stunned?

To the best of my knowledge, no, Freedom of Movement does not prevent stunning ..

Stunning does not restrict or hamper your movement, so Freedome of Movement doesn't help ..

Stunning is more a mental than a physical condition ... which relates it closer to hold person ... but the difference is, hold person does restrict your movement - that is, you're aware, but you just can't do anything .. Stunning, you're a lot less aware ... you can stagger about .. (and I recall 1 thread talking about allowing 5' steps since those are "non-actions" ..) ...

Not sure if that explains it well enough ... but Stunning doesn't stop you from moving .. if you had an action, you could, you just don't have an action ... it's almost like the surprise round ... just because you're restricted to only a Standard or move action, doesn't mean Freedom of movement kicks in and says: "hey - you move is being restricted!!" ...

stunning is hard to counter. A Heal spell will fix you, but that's about it.
