Can I use a 2nd level Pearl of Power allow me to recast a 1st level spell?

How about a 0th level spell?

Basically can a Pearl of Power be used to recall a spell of lower level?

NOTE: There is a special Pearl of Power that allows you to recast two 6th or lower spells, but it specifically saids in that case.

Thanks.

One side of me says that you could easily recall a lower level spell with the pearl. But the special pearl language alters my view of this. So...

I say no. But it is a limited no.
I allow you to recall a spell from an X-level slot. So if you filled the second level slot with a first level spell, have at it.

Now, if they made an even more special pearl of power that allows the recall of X-levels worth of spells...

A PoP only recalls a spell of it's level. I agree with Seeker - that could be a spell that's only been /prepped/ in a slot of that level, either becaue of metamagic, or just because you wanted a lower level spell more than a higher level one...
