Works just like the level 2 Druid Barkskin except uses bone.

Does such a spell already exist? If so where?

Boneskin
Necromancy
Level: Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V,S,M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 hour/level

Boneskin toughens a creature's skin. The effect grants a +2 circumstance bonus to the creature's existing natural armor bonus. This enhancement bonus increased by 1 for every three caster levels above 3rd, to a maximum of +5 at caster level 12th.
The enhancement bonus provided by boneskin stacks with the target's natural armor bonus, but not with other enhancement bonuses to natural armor. A creature without natural armor has an effective natural armor bonus of +0, much as a character wearing only normal clothing has an armor bonus of +0.
Material Component: A rib from a skeleton that is absorbed into your skin.

OR same as above except:

Boneskin
Necromancy
Range: Touch
Target: Living creature touched
Duration: 1 min./level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

What do you guys think?

I wouldn't have a problem with either version. They certainly dont seem too powerful for a second level spell (especially since it effectively mimics an existing 2nd level spell). Its a nice twist for an arcane version.

Seems fine to me, id stick to the first one personally, although it does kind of beg for magic armor to be applied also, which does make it pretty powerful

I remember reading a spell like it but it only worked on undead, it put regular creatures through excruciating pain, since the body wouldn't be too happy about having its bones changed in any way.

I read that spell too. As I recall, it actually changed to composition of the targets bones (and was permanent, if I'm not mistaken) to make them harder, rather than toughen the skin.

Sounds like the Pale Master's armor bonus when he grafts. I don't like the second one. It should only affect you. I would also make it +1 every 2 levels or every level.
