This spell is based on the 1st level spell Obsuring Mist (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/theraven_stephenh/spells/Obscuring_Mist.html). I wanted a smaller version of this spell. Let me know what you think:

Obscuring Cloud
Conjuration (Creation)
Level: Clr 0, Drd 0, Sor/Wiz 0
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 10 ft.
Effect: Cloud spreads in 5-ft. radius from you, 10 ft. high
Duration: 1 round
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

A misty vapor arises around you. It is stationary once created. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).

A moderate wind (11+ mph), such as from a gust of wind spell, disperses the fog in 4 rounds. A strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round. A fireball, flame strike, or similar spell burns away the fog in the explosive or fiery spell’s area. A wall of fire burns away the fog in the area into which it deals damage.

This spell does not function underwater.

What do you think? I reduced the area of effect to 10-foot and the duration to 1 round/level.

[EDIT] Changed to 1 round and lowered the radius to 5-foot. Effecitvely is 100% concealment in your square and 20% concealment in the squares around you.

Too strong for a 0-level spell. It functions almost as well as obscuring cloud and fog cloud! To remove the power level similarities, consider making this spell last a single round, with no spread, making it a quick, one-round defensive move.

I liked the concept to begin with.
Now I like both concept and delivery!

This spell reminds me of the "ninja tactic" that would throw a small pelet on the ground and sneak away...hehe.

And a perfectly good use of it as well!
Now you see me. Now you don't. Good-bye!

This'd be a fun spell to Quicken in combination with a Silent Insivibility or Teleport.
