4-D
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 9
Components: V,S
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: Personal
Duration: 1 minute/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes

The caster’s body becomes 4-dimensional and his mind becomes capable of comprehending the world in 4 dimensions. There is no immediate visible change to the caster, but his normal 3-dimensional body seen by others is now a ‘projection’ of his true 4-dimensional form, much like the shadow of a 3-D object cast against the surface of a wall. This grants the caster the following benefits against opponents in the everyday 3-dimensional world.
· The caster is treated as having the evasion ability. If the caster already has this ability then he gains improved evasion.
· The caster has damage reduction 10/-.
· The caster has a spell resistance of 25.

For the duration of this spell, as a standard action, the caster may switch between the above ‘projected’ state or move fully into the 4th dimension. In this fully 4-D state he may still perceive the ordinary world (just as a person may look down upon a 2-dimensional map) but is no longer visible or tangible. In this ‘higher-dimensional’ state the following additional effects apply:
· The caster cannot be detected by anything less powerful then the true seeing spell, except by other 4-dimensional beings (which include other casters under the effect of this spell).
· He is still vulnerable to force effects, abjurations, and mind-affecting spells assuming he can be detected by his opponent, and may not enter any area that prohibits teleportation effects (such as the area of a forbiddance spell).
· He can be affected normally, physically or magically, by other 4-dimensional beings (the above benefits of the ‘projected’ state do not apply).
· He may move in any direction, and through solid (3-dimensional) objects, including living creatures.
· The caster may not physically or magically affect ordinary 3-dimensional beings without first switching back to the ‘projected’ state (a standard action).

Expanding one’s mind to comprehend 4 dimensions is a mind-bending experience. Immediately upon casting this spell the caster must make a Will save against a DC of 25. If he fails he takes 1d4+1 points of Intelligence damage, or 2 points on a successful save. When the spell ends, either due to the duration expiring or because the caster dismissed the effect, the caster is dazed for 1d4+1 rounds.

I don't like it, it doesn't seem to fit in the DnD world.

Also, I don't think (Harmless) is the right thing for a mind damaging spell.

If it's personal range, spell resistance and saves are not normally listed.
