+5 Spell Storing Staff of Power? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-10-07, 12:16 PM Yes. It would lose charges just as normal, but then you can create another Staff of Power. Since you'll have likely gained levels since making it, you could see about making a Staff of the Cosmos afterwards/

There aren't any rules specifically for this, but most DMs (that I know of) allow this.

In this case, since the Staff of Power is a +2 quarter staff (cost 8,600 gp) I'd deduct that from the base cost for the Staff of Power and use 202,400 as the starting point for determining how much it would cost to do this.

12-10-07, 12:52 PM Yes, you could. There are rules for improving magic items in both the DMG and MiC. This isn't that different than enchanting a shield with both weapon enhancements and defensive enhancements.
