11-03-07, 02:31 PM I have a couple of players who want to use Encyclopedia Arcane: Demonology from Mongoose.

Is the book good? Is it broken?

Could/should I replace all summoning (Elemental, Celestial, Demonic) with it, or would that make gameplay unbalanced.

What if I used it in conjunction with True Sorcery?

Anyone have any answers?

11-04-07, 01:25 AM As far as I know it's ok. I guess you'll have to deal with specific circumstances when they arise. It does:
Increase Summonings, so expect larger/longer fights.
Increase Player Knowledge, becuase they can summon assistance or creatures with spell-like abilities or knowledge most useful to them.
May lead to player or in-character arguements, because of the chance of them breaking free or alignment issues.

Can't say about True Sorcery though.
