A bigger symbol of death? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-10-06, 06:12 PM Joe 10th-level Barbarian has 24 CON and decent hitpoint rolls. Since a standard Symbol of Pain only affects up to 150 hp, Joe can walk right past it.
Is there a Symbol of Megadeth or something I can use for larger effects?

Is there a Symbol of Megadeth or something I can use for larger effects?Any spell can be turned into a magical trap (http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/traps.htm). If someone is concerned about 150+ hp opponents, they could instead invest in a proximity activated Wail of the Banshee (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/wailoftheBanshee.htm) trap or somesuch.

Also, once you get into epic levels you can design your own spells anyway.

04-10-06, 08:02 PM OK, fine, I'll walk into it. A Symbol of Megadeth would only play really cool music (not much of a trap). Now a symbol of Ticketmasters would drain the character of their hard earned cash and give them nothing in return. Now that's a trap!
