That said, if an ethereal spell caster targeted someone who was under the effect of a blink spell while they were on the ethereal plane with a dispell magic, would that person end up on the ethereal or the material plane? I can't imagine that the spell would shunt the caster back to the material, because there is no more magic left to do it with after a dispell magic.... If the above is true, could two mage's time it so that they were both on the ethereal at the same time and end up transporting themselves to the ethereal plane (albeit they'd be rather stranded...). Is this a valid way to get to the ethereal plane at low level? (even if it is a one way trip...?) This begs the question of if the process could be reversed, if an ethereal creature cast blink (what would happen then?) and made it's way into the material..... (could this be a way for the wizards to get back...?) I could forsee a group of mages taking this idea and running with it: low level cabal of wizards become very interesting.... *Truean* |
