| catzo09-30-06, 07:14 PM | Does there somewhere on the net (as I'm pretty sure it's not in any books) a complete list (or at least very exstensive) over what the enchantment bonus would be of different abilitites that are not in the DMG. For instance, and Armour that gives Fast Heal 2, how big an enchantment bonus would that be? Or a weapon that enchanted so it functions as an adamantine weapon for sundering pourpuses. Or and Armour which gives DR 2/- (again as adamantine). Or a pair of weapons that gives TWF. And so on. Not completely new abilitites, but prices to enchant Weapons, Armours or "other" with already existing abilities. Does this exists? Or do you have to wing it? Thanks. |

Any item not presented in the DMG uses the item price guidelines presented in the DMG. 2. Any item not presented in the DMG requires DM approval before it can be used in game. 3. Any listing of all items presented in all D&D books would be a serious copyright violation. Posting a link to such a listing would be a CoC violation as well. 4. Do you have a specific item in mind? If so, post it here and we'll try and help you using the pricing guidelines. |
| catzo09-30-06, 08:10 PM | 1. Any item not presented in the DMG uses the item price guidelines presented in the DMG. Well it was specifically items not listed I was thinkign off. 2. Any item not presented in the DMG requires DM approval before it can be used in game. Well I AM a DM, and it is to give me an idea of gamebalance. 3. Any listing of all items presented in all D&D books would be a serious copyright violation. Posting a link to such a listing would be a CoC violation as well. Ok, maybe I wrote it wrong. I wanted a list of stuff NOT in the books, Fanmade or semi-official. Had hoped people on these boards had made one at some point. 4. Do you have a specific item in mind? If so, post it here and we'll try and help you using the pricing guidelines. Yes it came from the: Adamantine abilitites on weapons, as an enchant. But I guess thats quite simple. As the cost of an adamantine weapon is +3,000 it fits in as a +1 enchantment. For armour its +5,000 per DR:1/-. so that translates to about a +2 bonus. But for a specifik item I was looking for Fast Healing as an enchant on an armour. As I don't have any idea how much that should be worth. |

This would be an Epic (at least +6 bonus cost) capablity, as the only magic items that have that property are Epic: Ring of Rapid Healing This ring grants a living wearer fast healing 3. It must be worn for 24 hours before its powers activate, and if removed it will not function again until it has been worn for 24 hours by the same individual. Caster Level: 20th; Prerequisites: Forge Ring, Forge Epic Ring, regenerate; Market Price: 300,000 gp. |
| catzo10-01-06, 04:39 AM | Ouch, but ok it's a pretty awesome ability to have as a PC. It's actually for an NPC so I could just give it to him, but I wnt to be somewhat fair to the players. So how about Fast Healing 2 or 1? Would this be a +5 and +4 respectively? Or as low as +4 and +2? Nah, +2 seems too low. |

| IMarvinTPA10-02-06, 09:27 AM | Chernin, do you want to add a couple more indecies to your list: My site: http://www.imarvintpa.com/dndlive/index.php Juicy Mango resurection: http://timjoh.com/dnd/index.php As for: 3. Any listing of all items presented in all D&D books would be a serious copyright violation. Posting a link to such a listing would be a CoC violation as well. If you publicly detailed everything about every item, you would have a problem. But listing all items and a few select pieces of it with your own description isn't going to be as much of an issue. Then there's always a curious bit of fair-use loopholes about compilations which I don't fully fathom that may add an interesting twist. At the very least, what I've been up to hasn't raised any ire from WotC in the last 2 years. IMarv |
| Venator10-02-06, 10:00 AM | Crystal Castle has some great PDF files, but i dont think they include the Faerun books. Theyve got Dragon and Dungeon stuff in there though, so the list is pretty extensive. |
| tarkin10-02-06, 11:12 AM | You are asking about healing. Look at the ring of regeneration. For 90,000 gp, for a 20th level wearer, it does 20 points/hour. That would be 2 points/3 minutes. And it only works on damage taken while wearing the ring. If you want more than 1 point of healing every 3 minutes, then it will be MORE than 90,000 gp. For armor, we are tallking about an Epic enchantment (i.e. it costs more than +5) My advice to you - forget about granting fast healing continously. |
