Im working on a new base character class called 'The Executioner' which is based off what I read in this wiki link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executioner.

Now the problem im having with it is this... I want to give it a few divine spells like a ranger/paladin does but I also want to give it proficiencies with 2-hand axes and swords instead of normal martial/exotic proficiencies to fix in with the whole executioner role (they used large, 2 hand axes/swords to behead someone because smaller weapons didnt exactly have sufficient power behind them to take the head right off).

Im just wondering if it would be viable if I were to say that the spells requiring somatic components it uses are channeled through precise actions with a 2-hand axe/sword?

If not are there any other suggestions of how to get this to work in a balanced manner so i can still give it other class abilities? perhaps have them work like a spell-like ability in some way? Im planning on using spells like death knell, cause fear and a few scrying spells.
