| El Salvador02-07-05, 09:46 AM | Okay, this is a serious post, I'm not just ranting about burning things. In any case, I'd like some input for a new spell, and an item that uses it's effects. here is the item: A ring (or a vestement, or a robe, etc) This ring grants the wearer a partial protection from fire. Any equipment the wearer has on his/her person is treated as immune to damage from fire. This grants the wearer no extra protection from fire. In fact, the gear can still catch on fire, but it is not harmed by the flames, only the weilder. The gear is treated as on fire in every normal way, including methods to quench the flames, and damage to those holding them. The only exception is that when the fire is put out, the item is as if there had been no fire at all. For example, if Tordec, the fighter, is wearing the ring, and he falls into a campfire, he will catch on fire, and take damage, as normal. His gear will probably catch on fire as well, and he will take damage from this as normal. But when his companions douse the flames, all of his gear is unharmed by the fire. Tordec is probably severly hurt, but his clothes are doing fine. Also, what level would a spell be that could use these effects? |
