A question about Innate Spells and Sorcerers [Archive] - Wizards Community

It says they have to give up a spell slot, but they don't have spell slots. However, it doesn't say that sorcerers cannot use this feat (Complete Arcane). Am I missing something very obvious here?

A spell slot is the ability to cast one spell once per day of a specified level or less derived from a class spellcasting ability. Sorcerers get spell slots.
