a question on walls [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-01-06, 07:09 PM could you but a contengions spell on a wall. like if i made a wall of force and then i put a contengions on it so when it was destroyed say it set off a disintigrate spell or something like that. Would that actaully work? Rule wise i mean.

05-01-06, 07:57 PM Seems like a waste of a contingency spell, even if it would work. The duration on Wall of Force really isn't long enough to bother enchanting it, especially with a spell that only triggers when it is destroyed (it isn't all that easy to break a wall of force, after all).

Why not just use a Glyph of Warding or an appropriate Symbol spell?

1. He cannot cast while in wall form.
2. It might be permanent. Especially if he is hard-hearted, stone-cold -ober, and has rocks-for-brains.
