I've been told of the many different effects an Extend Spell would have on a Creeping Cold and Greater Creeping Cold; which one is true? What is the progression like for either or both of them?

P.S. Please don't answer unless you really know what you're talking about. I'm so afraid of checking this thread in a day and getting 20 different answers. I'd be no better off than I was in the first place.

Thank you very much for everyone who contributes....

Extend Spell [Metamagic]
Benefit: An extended spell lasts twice as long as normal.

Creeping Cold
"The spell deals 1d6 cumulative points of cold damage per round it is in effect (ie 1d6 on the first round; 2d6 on the second, and 3d6 on the third)."

Creeping cold lasts 3 rounds. Extend spell makes it last 6 rounds.
The mechanic is 1d6 per round cumulative. The listing of 1d6/2d6/3d6 is the explanation.

Following the mechanic, extend spell makes it last six rounds.
It will do 1d6/2d6/3d6/4d6/5d6/6d6 damage in successive rounds.

The same function for greater creeping cold, although the number of rounds is level dependent.
