Identify
Grease
Enlarge Person
Sleep (if you keep Enchantment) - it'll become obsolete later.
Ray of Enfeeblement (if you keep Necromancy). Doesn't become obsolete.
Detect Secret Doors
Comprehend Languages.
Expeditious Retreat.

ETA : If you have PHB2, Nerveskitter.

and what lvl 0 spells (abjuration since i got3of hem) are they beside resistance wich suck...To the best of my knowledge, there are no other 0-level abjurations.

any suggestion??You are more defined by the schools you give up than by the schools you specialize in.

You can cast Alarm, but so can almost every other wizard. Flavor-wise, which schools seem least to fit your character concept?

Power-wise, losing evocation and keeping conjuration still leaves you some pretty good blasting capability. Enchantment is cool, but can be lived without pretty easily. Illusion is sort of the same way, but it has some great defensive options. Between those two, I’d dump enchantment. Between transmutation and necromancy, you have to go with transmutation. Necro has some great debuffs and False Life, but transmutation is just too strong at almost every level to willingly part with.

You could keep necromancy by dropping both enchantment and illusion (along with evocation.) Necro is a better offensive school, in a non-direct damage way. Illusion is better defense. You already have strong defensive options with abjuration.

So, sumitallup: power-wise, drop evocation and enchantment and then for choice 3 pick between necro and illusion.

You only need to give up two schools (unless you're a diviner, in which case you only need to give up 1).

He only needs to give up two, but he is considering the Focused Specialist variant from CMag, which gives up three (two for diviners.)

LSMFT : I'd missed thazt he's considering an alternative class feature that would cost another school. Thanks. :)Anyone got an idea if I should keep my familiar or an option to replace it??I would replace the familiar.

Remember that the familiar's special ability, Intelligence and natural AC bonus are tied to the wizard class level, and not his spellcasting ability. Since there's nothing in the Master Specialist (or the I7V) saying that it counts towards a familiar's abilities, then it doesn't count. Thus for those stats you're stuck with what the 3rd level wizard's familiar will have.

PHB2 has an alternative class feature that you give up your familiar for. For you, that's Urgent Shield (PH2 p70).

I'm not sure about any others.

Usually I don't bother with a familiar; it's a weak spot in most battles, particularly when you're 16th level with 3 levels of wizard.
