Looking for a website that could show me all Acid Spells from all sources. Recently acquired the Complete Mage and was looking at the reserve feat Acidic Splatter. As far as I can tell though, the highest level acid spell is acid cloud, 6th level.

Anyone know of any higher level acid spells? Or point me to a source where I could search more effectively? Thanks in advance.

Well rather then trying to list out all the spells that have the acid type, I figured It'd be more efficient to point you to the feat Energy Substitution.

That will turn the energy of any spell with an energy type you prepair with it to a different time. So you can make a fireball and acidball or fire seeds into acid seeds, etc.

Or an Acidic Meteor Swarm...gotcha. Thanks for the tip. That might be worth it. I noticed that the old version of Energy Substitution in Tome & Blood had Sonic as one of the options. The version in Complete Arcane does not. Any reason for this?

Balance.

Sonic resistance is one of the rarest in the game. Being able to swap Sonic damage into any energy-based spell essentially meant all of your direct-damage spells are now pretty much guaranteed to bypass energy resistance. Having this for the mere cost of a single feat is unbalanced.

Keep in mind the rule of thumb for juding whether a given feat, class feature, spell, etc is balanced:

If EVERYBODY wants it, it's overpowered. If NOBODY wants it, it's underpowered.

Honestly, what mage WOULDN'T take Energy Substitution if Sonic Energy was on the list of substitutable options?

Also, I believe that heighten spell works with reserve feats.
