By extensive research I have found out how to revive lost AD&D spells. Even though my knowledge is arcane not divine. I have brought back an AD&D spell and I have also brought back (which was easier then the AD&D one) 1 3E spells that were lost in the void of books. If you have any ideas of AD&D spells that you would like to see back I will try with my power to bring them back (if I have the book their in or not :D). Ladies and non-ladies, Orcs and…Other ugly thingies I bring you the tome of DEAD SPELLS! [Dramatic music] Dun dun duuunnnn [/Dramatic music]

Wyvern watch
Illusion (figment) [Fear]
Level: Cleric 2, Druid 2, Wiz/sor 2
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: close (25ft+5ft/level)
Area: 10ft radius
Duration: 8 hours or until activated
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: none

You create an Illusion of a Wyvern that strikes fear to those who step into the radius of the spell. This creature guards a 10ft radius and affects anyone who steps into that radius. Once some one besides the caster or some one that the caster has designated to not be affected by the spell the wyvern appears out of thin air and strikes the one that stepped into the 10ft radius. Creatures that fail there save are frightened from the wyvern for 1 round/level (max 10). The caster knows when the wyvern is triggered. Once the wyvern activates the spell is dismissed. It takes a DC 27 to find the trap and a DC27 to disable it.

Inaudibility
Illusion (Glamer)
Level: Sor/wiz 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal or Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 10min/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: yes

This spell works like Invisibility but makes the target make no sound while walking running, or bumping into objects. This gives the Target a +10 on Movie silently checks and can make a MS check anytime they would normally make a sound. This spell negates the penalties of moving more than half speed while attempting to move silently. The target can talk if so wished.

NOTE: No spells were harmed in their resurrection.

So does the wyvern only attack once? Does it attack as a real wyvern? I'd say it definately needs more details.

Given how virulent their poison is, that strikes me as being too powerful for its level. I also find it to be thematically inappropriate as a ranger spell.

Inaudibility seems well balanced. I might specify that it negates the penalties associated with moving more than half speed while attempting to move silently.

Yes It attacks only once. It is not a real Wyvern like in AD&D. It is just a Illusion of a Wyvern that strikes fear to those who step into the radius. Once they step into the radius the Wyvern appears and charges and screams. When it does this the caster of the spell knows, and if he is asleep he wakes up by a force.

I will change Inaudibility above. Some spells don't revive just right :)

As is it leaves a lot to interpretation, and those are the types of spells that inevetably cause arguments around the gaming table.

As a simple illusory trap, it seems fine as a 2nd level spell, though I would put it on the wizard spell list as well. It always makes me cringe when clerics and/or druids get an illusion spell that wizards do not.

Also, as a trap, I would include text regarding its search and disable device DC (which would be 27 for a 2nd level spell).

Is the wyvern a figment or a phantasm? It's important that an illusion spell have a subschool.

Figment. The spell In AD&D was made for protecting a area for a short amount of time (like a camp). It was very helpful in AD&D because the Priest cast Wyvern watch by everyones sleeping bags/tents and they have just 1 watch in 3 shifts, this made it safe to camp in the dungeon or the Forest of death and blood.
