Don't be too critical if this is against the rules. My eight-year old cousin made this item up when i gave him a character and i thought it was pretty cool.

The boomerang has a retractable adamantium blade that will come out as the boomerang leaves your hand. The boomerang is enchanted to dodge all objects in its way except weapons and shields and return to its owner's hand when the owner holds his hand in the air. when the boomerang returns the blade retracts.

I'm guessing you want help pricing?

+1 returning(+1) weapon enhancements to start,
add the enchantment that negates cover (I forget the name atm...) (Seeking negates concealment & miss chance as a +1 ability, probably a +1 to negate partial cover)
The retracting blade thing is practical and flavorful, probably a straight gp value added to the cost. (1K tops, likely 500 or so)

so, you have a +3 (total) adamantine boomerang with either an enchanted or gnomish retractable blade.

=18,000 (enhancement) + 1,000 (blade) + 3000 (adamantine [<=1D6 weapon]) + 300 (masterwork) + (whatever a boomerang costs)

(Note that Unerring accuracy in the Epic Hbk negates cover and concealment [of less than total] as a +6 enhancement, This could be way too low.)

YMMV of course

What's the question?

(It sounds like a neat item, and far less broken than the other things you've shared. Actully, "far less broken" is an understatement. This item isn't broken.)

Apply a little elbow grease and you'll have yourself quite a handy weapon. Hot Rods pricing quide looks good to me.

1. Your cousin has seen WAY to much anime.

2. He has cool ideas and I think there is hope for him.

3. I love this idea and I plan to use it some time.

The reason is simple. This idea fits quite well with pre-existing game mechanics and is not over powered in the least. Rather than having an item or spell that simply does a butt load of damage, you presented a creative idea. Continue down that path and I assure you you'll get nothing but constructive criticizm (well, at least from me).

i know wat ur talkin about Lord nat. Alot of the stuff i make is messed up because when i got started on the game, the only people i knew who played the game besides me bent the rules in so many ways that after months of playing i got too used to it.

MagicMaster777 I learned some thing a long time ago that has helped my to no end online.
Spell right!
Most people will stop reading at the first mess up they see.

Trust me I am a first gen computer user (As in 1989ish)

Psht! 1989? That's it. That's second gen, bucko.

1978, now that's first gen.

Also, I second the "spell correctly" notion.

Ah yes, the Commadore 64 with the gas engine and rip cord you had to pull to get started! ;)

And "EasyScript" was far from easy. :headexplo
