10-09-06, 02:47 AM I am currently making a level 8 Dread necro which as many know has advanced learning, i am wondering wat spells i should choose for my 4th and 8th level, i would like a really powerful touch spell to use with my charnel touch and i dont know wat to use for the other, can any one help me with their suggestions.

10-09-06, 06:35 AM as far as 4th level necromancy spells are concerned, you'll be hard pressed to beat consumptive field (spell compendium).

10-10-06, 04:10 AM well, you get a 2nd level spell and a 4th level spell, so you're not going to be able to get a really powerful spell.

consumptive field consumes the souls of the dying in a radius around you for a number of rounds equal to your caster level. For each soul you gain a bonus to str and your caster level and 1d8 temp hp (the CL has a cap, the str and temp hp dont). very flavor appropriate for a dread necro, not to mention quite powerful.

I'll get back to you regarding touch spells.
