| PlaidViking06-01-05, 10:32 AM | I'm currently in a pickle in terms of choosing my next invocation. I'm an orc warlock (was a forest gnome but got reincarnated as an orc, which makes it rather interesting as I've got a 18 Cha). Current Invocations are Darkness, Devil Sight, Spiderwalk, Charm, Flee the Scene, Walk Unseen, Fell Flight, Vitriolic Blast, and Chilling Tentacles. I'm leaning towards Eldritch Chain or Noxious Blast. Any suggestions? Also for later levels any suggestions for Dark Invocations? |

| DemonMonkeyBoy06-01-05, 01:45 PM | :b: I would trade out Darkness for something different and pick up Hungry Darkness. Maybe Entropic warding for extra defence. I take Echain as soon as possible. Its really the only safe way to hit multiple opponents. I have not yet played any of the dark powers so I can't really say which is better. |
| green_yawgmoth06-01-05, 02:26 PM | Vitriolic blast is really nice, since it ignores SR and does lingering damage. But Echain is nice for hitting multiple targets. So the question becomes "do I fight more than one opponent more often than I fight enemies with high SR?" Edit: Noxious blast is also a good one because it stops your opponents from doing anything more than moving, but I would save it for your next invoc as a sure thing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
