Recently I have come up with a metamagic feat idea, but I cannot seem to get it where it looks right with my idea. Basically, I want a spellcaster to be able to cast a spell with an energy type (acid, cold, electric, fire or sonic) and be able to heal creatures of that subtype with the spell. For example, a wizard casts a fireball enhanced with this feat, and an fire elemental is in the area, the spell would heal the elemental. Here is an example of the feat I want. ELEMENTAL RECONSTITUTION Benefit: Choose an energy type (acid, cold, elecricity, fire or sonic). You may now modify spells you cast with this feat as follows. When a creature with a compatible subtype with the type of energy chosen is targeted or is within the area of the spell cast, the damage dealt by the spell heals the creature at a ratio of one hit point per two points of damage normally dealt by the spell. This healing cannot exceed the creature's normal hit point total. Other types of creatures are affected by the spell as stated within the spell's description. For example, if a wizard prepares a Fireball with this feat, then casts it with a fire elemental within the area of effect, then the elemental will be healed instead of being unaffected. A spell modified with Elemental Reconstitution takes up a feat slot two levels higher than normal. Special: This feat may be selected multiple times. Each time it is selected, it applies to a different energy type. |
