| Dartanel12-24-04, 12:40 PM | Those are the names of the mages that invented the spells. |

Abi-Dalzim is never realy given a setting... although I saw one designer comment once that he thought he came from Dark Sun, and several people have told me that they though he came from Al'Qadeem (Although that would be difficult as the spell Abi-Dalzims horrid Wilting predates both of those settings). |

While it's doubtful he was Epic, he was at least up there in levels, say at least 13th+. He was a founding member of The Covenant, an alliance of NG mages founded to enforce peace. There were three other founding members of the covenant, and to commemorate the founding the crafted a Spellbook(The Tome of the Covenant). Each of the founders put a unique spell they had made in that Spellbook. Agannazar put his Scorcher in there naturaly. The Covenant did not last long, it's founders either disapaering, or being thought dead(Agannazar was last seen in a Mage school just before it was destroied, and has not been seen since). There apprentices carried on for a bit, with the Tome, but eventualy were scattered to the winds. The spells in the Tome have been spread around by the apprentices and other mages that learned them over the years, to make the spells 'Uncommon' in the modern Realms. I've never seen anything about Abi-Dalzim. BT |
