I'm not even gonna TRY to do this one, but I'd liek to here your thoughts on this. Basically, you try to force a change in alighment on someone. It would probably be really high level, have a low DC to beat, and would be limited in the number of alighment steps one coudl take. But what do you guys think ,of the concept at least?

Hiho,

Uhm.. I assume you're talking about a spell or something? If you're talking about a magic item, there already exists the Helm of Opposite Alignment. Very usefull item, that - one of the few cursed items that I would consider deliberately creating and using [on someone else]

This would have been a nastier spell or item in either 1st or 2nd Edition, when an alignment change brought actual penalties with it. As it stands, switching alignment in 3rd Edition often has no greater penalty than the possible denial of any alignment-based class abilities you have (the worst-affected, obviously, would be Paladins, as they're the only class that can be only one alignment).

Otherwise, I can't see how this would be nasty, other than interesting role playing opportunities as the character attempts to reconcile their new world view with all the activities that were based off of their old world view.

Are you kidding? Horribly violating someone's moral belief system is pretty nasty. Granted, the target actually LIKES what you've done to them, so they probably wouldn't be mad, except on principle, but the power that comes from being able to screw with someone's mind like that..

So, you're up against a werewolf who's about to tear you to pieces and suck the marrow from your bones when you cast Reverse Alignment on it. ZOT. Now you have a Lawful Good lycanthropic cohort. At the very least, the once fearsome creature is now singing gospel songs while picking wild flowers to bring home to his mother. Uhm, broken.
