| Ovinnik12-05-06, 11:56 PM | Has anyone ever considered this? Converting all, or most of, a campaign's magical classes (probobly a limited number) into a Shadowcaster's casting style? While the Shadowcasters are woefully underpowered compaired to just about all other full-casting classes, in a campaign without normal clerics, druids, wizards, and sorcerers, I think it would be fairly well balanced with the non-casting classes. I'm thinking having different themes, with all of them somewhat focused on their theme... Shadowcaster is one, obviously, but there can be a class that harnesses energy from the Positive Energy Plane (basicly the healer/clericy class), and one that harnesses negative energy. Or there could be a Dreamcaster. Or a anything else that could be thought-up and statted-out. Some major work would be required to get everything balanced out with the Shadowcaster, and all the other classes, but I think it would work well, along with being very flavorful. Any thoughts? |
