Greetings. I am an elf from Evermeet, and I have hte Otherworldly feat for fluff-reasons. I happened to take alter self because it sounded way cool beeing a dwarven ancestor (elven ancestor in my case). My GM overruled it as to powerful, which I accepted.

Now though, I wonder what shapes you out there find both cool AND somewhat balanced for an elven fighter-mage-outsider.

Remember that I am looking for creatures that could be retooled into elven-flavour, and help me in my fighting role.

As a bi-question, I am wondering if I should just reduce the benefits of the Ancestor shape, and is so, how much do you think is fair for alter self? Large size and +5 natural AC perhaps?

Thanks for all suggestions

Alter self list (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=176246)

Scroll down and look for the outsider section. Ravid is your best bet with +15NA, but given your situation, I doubt your DM will allow it either.

I don't even want it, have you seen that thing? I have dis-allowed myself to use it as a DM due to stupid non-cinematic look ;)

EDIT: And thanks for the link :)

Then you will just have to use your good sense to adjudicate what is fair in your game. The list is there, how you wish to make use of it is up to you.:)
