You're not blind. I checked the SRD, and it wasn't there. Curious if perhaps they had left it out, I grabbed my Dungeon Master's Guide and checked in there - nothing. Hoping that perhaps this error had been caught and put into the errata, I checked there - but no luck. It would seem that Wizards has completely missed this issue. I would suggest sending an email to Customer Service just to see what they say, but if I were to guess I'd say the caster level is probably equal to his assassin level.

Unless otherwise noted, that's ALWAYS the case. Exceptions being partial casting classes, Chameleon, Ur Priest, Sublime Chord and a few more. But most are 1 / class level.
