spaznitro 04-30-07, 08:50 AM	My group and I are adventuring in the dungeons of Rapa Nathuk. The module is 3rd edition, but we are playing 3.5 and the DM is converting things as we go. We found an amulet of life protection and I can't find info on what it does in any 3.0 or 3.5 book that I have. I know that it is supposed to stop the magic jar spell from the old 2nd edtion description. Is there an updated version of this item? The module gives no clue either.
Seeker95 04-30-07, 11:18 AM	Here is what I found over on the EN Boards: Amulet of Life Protection This pendant or brooch device serves as a ward for the psyche (or soul). The wearer has a +4 insight bonus to Will saves to resist possession by a magic jar spell or any similar mental attack, including demonic or diabolic means. If the wearer is slain, the psyche enters the amulet via the contingency and trap the soul spells and is protected for one full week. Thereafter it goes to the plane of its alignment, however. If the amulet is destroyed during the week, the psyche is utterly and irrevocably annihilated. Caster Level: 15th; Prerequisites: Create Wondrous Item, contingency, trap the soul; Market Price: 84,000 gp Converted From: amulet of life protection.
