If someone successfully casts animate objects on a suit of armor being worn by an unlucky fighter, what happens to the fighter in the armor?

When using animate objects on a suit of armor, does the armor get its own armor bonus to Armor Class?

Can an animated suit of armor wear armor to gain an armor bonus to Armor Class?

Could the effigy of the armor-slain fighter (in the above question) wear armor to gain an armor bonus to its Armor Class?

An animated object counts as a construct. Construct have a Natural Armor bonus. So yes a amimated suite of armor could wear armor and still be with in the rules. It's just really funny to say.

"This spell cannot animate objects carried or worn by a creature."

No it already gets the Hardness of the material its made from.

If you animate the corpse it AC would be calculated as normal. Size, Dex, Nat armor (for a construct) and yes any armor the corpse was wearing.

In the case of most monsters, not wearing armor. Count it as the hardness of leather and maybe as if wearing hide armor. I'm just guessing here, but it makes sence to me.

Just a fun idea I had while it wrote this. Make a chain as large as you can affect. Use permanency to animate and shrink. Than wear it like a neckless.

05-30-05, 12:09 AM I kinda meant a construct effigy (from Complete Arcane) made to look like a fighter. Could it wear armor? Apparently so.
